Waiting room
Hospital corridors
The colour of oatmeal,
Walls a sickly green.
Waiting patients tap and read, frustratedly.
Allowing their minds to flit and drift. Travelling over the faces and walls. Slipping through hospital hours; minutes for the notes, blood tests and waiting times.
Metallic clangs and toddler cries skit on the gurney's squeaking wheels and doctors mutter in corners.
